George Nipah

ING. George Sasraku NIPAH has over 30+ years’ experience in telecommunications planning, design, operations, and business development. George commenced his public service career with the Volta River Authority (VRA) in 1990 as a Professional Telecommunications Engineer before joining GRIDCo in 2008. He holds degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and master’s in Public Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). George ended his national public service with GRIDCo as a Director, where he served as the first General Manager, GRIDTel (Responsible for the operations and commercialisation of GRIDCo Telecommunications infrastructure) and then Director System Operations (Responsible for the operation of the National Interconnected Transmission System). He is a member of Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) and has served on the Board of the African Utilities Telecom Council (AUTC).
