Lisa Cannell brings over 20 years of human resources and organizational development leadership experience in corporations and higher education her advising role. She has worked in public and private companies, including Fortune 50 and a top University, and consulted privately with organizations. She has overseen all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, recruiting, performance management, information systems, compensation, benefits, learning and development.

During her career she has advised C-suites and boards on building mission, vision, culture, competency frameworks, and succession planning. She has been actively involved in integrating organizations in mergers and acquisitions. Lisa helps leaders reflect on how leadership philosophy, organizational design, and culture drive results. She partners with them to build the organizational capabilities and behaviors aligned with desired outcomes.

Lisa graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her master’s in business administration from the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business. She earned her Charted Property Underwriter Designation, holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and a certificate in Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership from Georgetown University.
